Central Maui: Why Central Maui?

For those who live in Central Maui, I would say their main reason is its convenience to Mauiʻs commercial and government hub, let along better access to our main airport, commercial harbor and main medical facilities.  The capital town of Wailuku is what you expect of any capital city, where our County, State offices and Federal offices reside. Of course, there are residential subdivisions, agricultural subdivisions, rental apartment and condominiums as well but Central Maui was generally planned for residents.  The towns vary from a more typical suburban areas like Kahului and Wailuku to the more rural areas of Waikapu, Waiehu and Waihee. The climate also varies from the warmer Kahului to the cooler Wailuku, Waikapu, Waihee and Waihee. The only public golf course is located in Waihee. For natural amenities, Iao Valley is one of the most visited locations on Maui. Lastly, while Central Maui may not offer a sunset view, beautiful sunrises, inspiring moonrises and Haleakala Crater views are nothing to scoff at.
